Sheila's Wheels

OK people... its that time of year again when I go off and do a mad cycle ride somewhere strange... this year it's a bit different. Ever since I heard of this event, I have been waiting for it to come around so that I could "Just Do It". London-Edinburgh-London 2017. As it's not a Tour but an Ultra Cycle Event....I wont have time to stop and blog as I usually do as time is very important. However I have a cunning plan. I have asked Charlie to help me out here and to blog for me. So here goes

Day 1. In brief

Flew to Biarritz where I took over the airport lounge to assemble my bike. Have everyone a great deal of entertainment!! Pushed my bike and dragged my bag containing cut up bike box to local dechetterie. Dumped bag and box and cycled 30 miles or so to St Jean Pied Porte. Beginning to enjoy night riding. Arrived at municipal camp site 9.45pm and pitched my tent in the dark. Note to self buy a head lamp. Tucked up in my tent with my bike and my bear. Bliss. Ready to roll tomorrow.
